We are back!
South Asian Heritage Month this year will kick off on 18th July and end on 17th August. This year will be bigger! We have had hundreds of emails enquiring about the month, so this year we have created a simple process for anyone who wants to host an event.

We encourage anyone who is planning to curate a panel discussion, webinar, workshop, exhibition, film, quiz night etc. to send in your submission to be part of the “official calendar”.

Events on the official calendar will created in partnership with the South Asian Heritage Month Team, be open to the public, featured on our social media channels, website and widely circulated throughout the UK.

We have picked 5 themes for this year including (but not limited to):

  •  Sports

  •  Mental health & wellbeing

  •  Identity

  •  Creative including literature

  •  History

Please submit you proposal by:  15/06/2021

Proposals submitted after this date will be considered but we cannot guarantee will be included in the official calendar

The team will feedback to you by : 21/06/2021

We are expecting a large number of unofficial (or ‘fringe’) events to be held outside of the official calendar.  These can be organised by individuals, teams or organisations. Simply plan the event and fill out the form to request use of our branding/logo. We have requested some information about the planned event(s) which will help us keep track of what is going on up and down the country and also ensure that any events using our branding align with the campaign’s values. We will also do our best to promote unofficial events through our social media channels.
